On Friday 22nd April 2016 I attended My Lodge & council Cathedral where I am Treasurer it was a poor turnout with only 6 members of the council and 4 visitors present. We were meant to be doing the Mariners Degree and the Red Cross Degrees on 3 Candidates but unfortunately none of them could make it and only 2 members of the visiting degree team actually made it, it was a very disappointing night and an expensive one for the lodge. We did have a good harmony and a full belly it was another early night for all
St John RAC No 257
On Thursday 21st April 2016 I attended My mother chapter St john where I am scribe, at the meeting we made M.E.C. Erik Ramsay a Honouary member the obligation was Given by M.E.Z Jim Martin. M.E.C Erik thanked the chapter for the honour bestowed on him and said the was happy to assist the chapter when ever possible.
It was a good harmony and the usual raffle with none for me but a good night
Maryhill RAC No 296
On Tuesday 19th April 2016 I attended Maryhill RAC No 296 where I assisted in the opening and assisted in the Royal Arch Degree, which was well performed. We had a good harmony but again no Raffle prizes it was not the usual meeting finishing a bit early than usual
Dennistoun Harmony of Unity No 266
On Wednesday 13th April 2016 I visited along with the First principal of St John No.257 It was a good meeting and they performed the Excellent Masters Degree which was good after the meeting we had a good harmony with me winning a raffle prize which made it even better
St Andrew of Glasgow No 69
On Tuesday 12 th April 2016 I visited St Andrew of Glasgow No 69 where I witnessed Dennistoun Harmony of Unity no 266 confer the Excellent masters Degree. It was well performed as expected by the companions of Chapter No 266
it was a good meeting and a good harmony
St John Whiteinch No 683
On Friday 8th April 2016 I attended Lodge St John Whiteinch No 683. this would be my last visit as a visitor, as I was affiliated to the lodge along with another Brother, After the usual lodge business we were both given the obligation of affiliation by P.M Adam Provan after which we were presented to the lodge and the master coming to the west to congratulate us we both gave a small speech of thanks. After the meeting there was a lecture on masonic music by P.M Robert Geddes which was interesting and caused a good debate among the brethren. Afterwards we had a good harmony and raffle and home by the usual 11pm
lodge kelvin Partick No 1207
I attended Kelvin Partick on Tuesday 5th April 2016 for a Reigning Masters degree. There was 8 Reigning Masters who took part in the First Degree on a candidate who was the cousin of the Master of Kelvin Partick it was a very good degree well performed with very little practice for the degree. It was only the second time of visiting Kelvin Partick but wont be my last, thoroughly enjoyed the degree and the welcome i received. Did not stay after the meeting but will in future
Glasgow Cryptic Council no 50
On Wednesday 30th March 2016 I attended My Cryptic Council Glasgow No 50 where it was the provincial visitation and there was also 2 candidates. The council performed the Royal Masters, Select Masters and the Super excellent Masters on Both candidates which was good but made for a later finnish. the Harmony was good with a presentation of a personalised bottle of whisky to the T.I.M. it was a good raffle and I won a bottle of wine for a change which was good
Provincial Dominoes
On Tuesday 29th March i attended the Provincial Dominoes tournament in Vulcan st. Springburn as part of St Vincent Plantation No 259 along with the 2nd Sojourner we did win our 1st round but was put out in the second round by the eventual winners Partick
St John Whiteinch No 683
On Friday 25th March 2016 i attended Lodge St John Whiteinch No 683 where they had a ballot on 2 affiliates who will be affiliated at the meeting on the 8th April . The office bearers carried out the 3rd degree on a substitute candidate it was a very good degree with some of the office bearers taking part for the first time. It was a good harmony and the usual home by 11 pm
