Parking ticket
I recently received a parking ticket in Dalhousie St outside the PDSA in Glasgow. the thing is I did put a parking ticket on the car from a parking ticket machine situated in Burnside st. But in the street where I parked it requires a scratch card parking ticket purchased from a local hotel or shop. Due to usually having a disabled badge and being able to park without problem I never read the parking sign, previously I purchased the scratch card ticket in the PDSA but last time I was there they had none left and referred me to the parking machine which I used, this time whilst waiting to get a ticket I hear them say to someone else they no longer do them so went to get a ticket from the machine. I appealed the ticket but due to not buying it from a shop I lost the appeal. My next course of action is to wait till the ticket goes up to the full price of £60 and put in a formal appeal ( but if I lose I have to pay £60 instead of £30 nice way to put people off ) If that fails I can appeal to the parking adjudicator in Edinburgh I have every intention in fighting this ticket all the way . I think it is just entrapment that they have different parking payment systems in place within the city and if you don’t read every sign you may get a ticket even if you have made the effort to paid them
This kind of method of making money is nothing more than Entrapment and I know others who have received tickets for other violations that are nothing but a method of making money Especially from people who don’t go into the city very often, the council is actually alienating the people who do pay for the services they use and who in the future may deliberately stop paying for services especially when they think they have been wronged
