On Tuesday 15th January 2019 I attended Maryhill Royal Arch Chapter. I did not have my usual companion, Alec accompanying me, as he was not feeling too good it was a quiet meeting with a similarly quiet and quick harmony
St. John Whiteinch No. 683
On Friday 11th January 2019 I attended my Lodge St.John Whiteinch as it was the first meeting this year there were a number of apologies. The office bearers performed an Exemplification of the Entered Apprentice degree. It was a good meeting but I did not stay after the meeting as I was feeling tired and also coming down with the bug that everyone else has
St Andrew of Glasgow No 69
On Tuesday 8th January 2019 I attended St Andrew of Glasgow No.69 for there afternoon meeting where they were having a lecture on Mozart and the Masons by Companion Robert G Geddes he made use of a projector and CD player to accompany his speech. It was pretty good but I have heard it before but the companions present were pleased with the lecture.
Maryhill No.296
On Tuesday 18th December 2018, I attended Maryhill R.A.C. No.296. which was just a business meeting with only about 12 present. The biggest surprise of the night was when the D.O.C. presented me to the first Principal, who said the companions of the chapter wished to make me an honorary Member which I gladly accepted. The obligation of honorary Membership was given by the First Principal Robert Sawers, I thanked the companions for conferring this honour on me, and will always try to help the chapter when possible. The harmony was quite and we had an early night.
St John Whiteinch No 683
On Friday 14th December 2018, I attended the installation of St John Whiteinch No 683 where I was installed inner Guard. It Was a good installation with all office bearers being installed the meeting was well attended by the Western District Lodges association with members and visitors there must have been around 100 people there. After the installation, I took some photos and went home due to being tired and not having any medication
St Andrew of Glasgow No 69
On Tuesday 11th December My Birthday I attended St Andrew of Glasgow No 69. The meeting was very poorly attended due to 2 companions being in Hospital and others putting in an Apology, but they got the meeting opened. I attended as part of the Deputation from St Vincent Plantation to confer the Excellent Master’s Degree, We managed to do a good job of the degree and the companions present were happily satisfied. After the meeting, we had a good harmony with most of the raffles going to the same table Good Night
St Vincent Plantation No 259
On Tuesday 27th November 2018, I attended St. Vincent Plantation No. 257 Where I am 1st Sojourner but due to the First principal Recovering at home from an Operation I had to take the chair. We had a visitation from St Andrew of Glasgow R.A.C. No. 69, who were there to conferring the Excellent Master’s Degree, unfortunately, it was an Exemplification with our professional candidate getting put through again The Degree was done to a high standard and the degree team were congratulated. After the meeting, we had a good Harmony before I walked home almost the same distance to where the car was that offered me a lift Good Night
St John Rac No. 257
on Thursday 15th November 2018, I attended My Mother Chapter where it was the first meeting after the installation we practised the Excellent Master’s Degree to allow the companion to practice working together for the first time. The practice went well and the M.E.Z did the obligation for the first time. After the meeting, the harmony was good and went rather quick going home around 11 pm
Dennistoun Harmony of Unity No 266
On Wednesday 14th November 2018, I Visited Dennistoun Harmony of Unity Royal Arch Chapter No 266 where there was a deputation from Edinburgh Chapter Craig Millar R.A.C. No 468 where I am 3rd Principal we were there to confer the Excellent Master’s Degree. As part of the Degree team, I acted as Excellent Junior Warden during the opening and closing and gave the veil lecture. The degree went well for our 1st visitation to confer a degree, Afterwards, we had a good harmony and not as far to drive home as the others from 468
St John Whiteinch No.683
On Friday the 9th November 2018 I attended Lodge St. John Whiteinch No. 683 where it was their Annual General Meeting. After all the usual business the Nominations and elections of office bearers took place. I got nominated and elected as inner Guard My first office within the lodge as it was only a business meeting and a reasonably quick meeting, we had a lecture at the harmony by Brother Robert Geddes which I only saw the start of due to having to leave early.
