David Stewart Gillies Posted on 15/10/2015 by dsg25709/04/2016

On Wednesday 14th October 2015 i attended Partick RAC No 113 along with members of St John My mother chapter but i was wearing the regalia of first principal of St Vincent Plantation  and was invited to the east. We were there for the installation of M.E.C. Alan Cuthill who was selected by the member of the chapter to take the chair for thier 150th anaversary year  the installation was done to the same high standard expected by the companions of Partick As it was a reinstallation and no new principals were did not have to leave the hall

The harmony was good and they gave the newly installed first principal a (stetson) hat something they have been doing at the harmony installation for a number of years. I was lucky enoght to win a raffle prize which happened to be a bottle of whiskey  Which i donated to St John Chapter for thier installation

St Mungo Preceptory

David Stewart Gillies Posted on 06/10/2015 by dsg25709/04/2016

On Monday 5th October I attended my Preceptory  St. Mungo  for the AGM there were a few people missing but it was still a good attendance I was voted into the Office of Constable which is 3 offices away from the chair which I will not be going for anytime soon as I lack the required experience at present. As this is the first office I have held in the Preceptory but it not an active office so I have the opportunity to learn  the way the Preceptory works. It was a good harmony with no raffles coming to me  again
