st john whiteinch No 683
On Friday the 14th March I visited lodge St John Whiteinch No 683 Where I saw a unusual 3rd degree by members of an English lodge from south shields . It was very different and started in the first degree where the candidate was tested before they moved to the second where the candidate was again tested and given the password for the 3rd degree. In the 3rd degree the candidate was placed in the centre of the carpet where almost everything is done. it was a lot quicker than our version and informative to all who watched it
Although it was different I did enjoy it and learned a few things I did not stay for the harmony but did invite the master and a few others to the arch meeting on the 25th
St John R.A.C No 257
On Wednesday 11th march I attended my mother chapter where I am the scribe it was our annual Provincial visitation but due to some errors in my minutes I got a qualified minute. The errors were stupid :- wrong date, missing second name, bottom of loose leaf page 1/3 not signed and someone signing the cederunt book 2 times. All this means I need to pay a lot more attention to the minutes and what I am doing, But there were a few other things which I and everyone else don’t understand but I am getting these in writing to verify the correct manner of what should be done
I accepted the Qualified minute is totally down to me and nothing others have done in the chapter
After the meeting we had the banner lecture which was interesting and informative
