lecture on 1st degree
on Wednesday 2nd October 2013 I visited Lodge Cochno No 1304 in Hardgate
The speaker was Brother Kevin Thompson D.M from Lodge Couper o’ Fife No 19
His Take and explanation on the Various aspects of the first degree was very interesting and left all the brethren with a lot to think about, he compared the differences in the lodge with other lodges and although the slight differences they all conveyed the same message. Also stated that the candidate is given no opportunity to answer certain questions put to them during the degree, He also explained why we perambulate from north-west round the lodge, the meaning of the three columns. He also put a number of questions to the brethren who did find it difficult to answer some of these Myself included
In all it was a great night and although myself and the others who went with me were not know, were made very welcome by all the brethren
