David Stewart Gillies Posted on 16/06/2018 by dsg25714/08/2018

On Friday 15th June I attended Supreme Grand Chapter in Edinburgh for their Convocation. It was very well attended with over 120 members there  It was not a long meeting but the new First Grand Principal had a few things to say which were very informative. they have not yet decided on a new charity to support  but wish to plant trees with a Keystone Plaque to celebrate 100 years since the End of the First world War  a good meeting and a long train ride home

David Stewart Gillies Posted on 09/05/2018 by dsg25715/05/2018

On Wednesday the 9th May 2018 I attended Dennistoun Harmony of Unity Royal Arch Chapter . There was supposed to be a visit from Craig Miller R.A.C No. 468 where I am First Sojourner, but unfortunately the could not attend so the companions of St John agreed to confer a degree. It was decided that we would do the Excellent Masters Degree, I would have rather done the Royal Arch Degree because that’s what I was ready for and would be conferring  the following night,  anyway we did the Excellent Masters degree and it was rather good for being put together at the last-minute. We had a good harmony and one of the members of St john Did win a raffle prize

On Wednesday 15th March 2018 I Attended My Mother Chapter St John R.A.C No 257 where it was our Provincial Visitation As the Scribe I had to get my books checked  When the deputation entered the chapter and took charge of the chapter  the head of the deputation from Provincial Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Glasgow informed the chapter that due to not attending a meeting to have the books checked we would recieve a qualified minute and he took no pleasure in giving us it. They then gave back control and retired and did not return for harmony, we had a discussion about the about the qualified minute and afterwards we had a quiet harmony
