On Saturday 21st June 2014 Marie and I took Samantha and the Kids (Matthew and Benjamin) to Edinburgh Zoo for the day

It is a large area to get round and on a hill so was extremely difficult for Marie Due to Health problems. There is transport to take you to the top if you are disabled and it is all downhill from there

As usual I Took lots of Photos but due to the Glass/ perspex some photos have glare or act as mirrors need more light in some areas

Althouth they provide a map only the larger exhibits are on it, It is not well mapped out for Routes there are signposts but it is very easy to miss out parts of the zoo without even realising it . It is disappointing when you walk a fair distance to find there are no animals in the enclosure or they are inside. We arrived at 10am and only did half the zoo Leaving after 5pm A long day for A disabled Person and 2 young kids  but thoroughly worth it. they all enjoyed themselves

We brought a packed Lunch with us  easier for the kids Who are always hungry and a fuss pot like me

Would recommend it as a family day out but Book in advance and be prepared to walk
